Microsoft paralyzes the deployment of Windows 11 22H2 on some computers due to failures in the performance of games and apps

Microsoft has stopped updating to the latest version of Windows 11 for a number of PCs experiencing GPU performance issues with certain games and applications, pending a fix.

The technology company deployed the first major Windows 11 update (22H2) at the end of September, which introduces new features that improve safety, accessibility and productivity.

Microsoft has detected that some computers that have updated to this version experience performance issues with games and appssince they are “inadvertently enabling GPU performance debugging features that are not intended for consumers”, as detailed on the page of Microsoft Learn.

To prevent the problem from affecting more users, the company has decided to stop the update for the affected computers, which are not update will be offered until the problem is resolved.

While the fix arrives, which Microsoft says it’s already working on, the company advises users who have already installed version 22H2 to Please update your games and applications to the latest version available. It also urges them to avoid manually installing the Windows 11 update.
