This Account Center connects the configuration experiences of the accounts created in Meta, such as Facebook, Instagram or Meta Horizon, as currently reported in the Configuration section of each platform.

In this way, this space collects information such as the visible name in each of the accounts, personal information, credentials and security, permissions on the use of personal data included in these platforms, logins, shared publications, means of payment and ad preferences.

One of the aspects that the company intends to solve with this functionality is the configuration and customization of the ads it offers on the platforms it develops, as it has pointed out. on his blog.

In this regard, it has announced that it is updating the ‘Activity Data’ section, included in the ‘Partners’ section, which has been renamed ‘Advertising partner activity information’.

This will include information about how the data is used from users collected on other websites and applications to deliver advertisements and promotions on these platforms.

On the other hand, Meta has stressed that it is trying to improve the way it informs users of its social networks about the options available to them to view the personalized ads it displays on them.

With this, he has advanced that he is “exploring new ways to give people the possibility of seeing more ads about the things that interest them, in addition to the existing option to see fewer ads about what doesn’t interest them.”

Meta has informed that adding more than one account to the same Account Center is optional, so that it will continue to be possible to manage the Configuration of each platform individually.

The company has already begun rolling out this new Account Center, which is coming to all of its Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger users in the coming months.
