AI startup Anthropic has been in talks with Apple to bring its generative AI to Apple Intelligence, the Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Apple, Meta and Anthropic did not immediately respond to after-hours requests for comment.
The talks have not been finalized and could fail, according to the Journal, which added that deals with Apple would help AI companies gain broader distribution of their products.

Perplexity, an AI search company, has also held talks with Apple about incorporating its technology into Apple Intelligence, a source familiar with the process told Reuters.
