Master in Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile closes its applications this October 31

The program, in force since the 1990s and with accreditation until 2025, opens its call for next year with favorable scholarships and an outstanding academic faculty.

The master lasts a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years, whose study plan is made up of three required courses of a semester course in each of the fundamental thematic axes of mathematics: analysis and algebra or in topology and three specialized semester courses in the area chosen by the student for their thesis. Then comes the thesis project, a written translation exam from a foreign language relevant to the activities of the program (preferably English), and finally, the degree exam.
“What characterizes us are the lines of research that are developed in the program and the quality of the people who make up its faculty, since all its members are of the highest level nationally and internationally recognized” he indicated Juan Pozo Vera, General Coordinator of the Master’s Program. Who also emphasizes the efficient communication between the master’s and doctoral programs.

The program is developed in 3 lines of research: Dynamic Systems and Differential Equations, Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory and Harmonic Analysis and Representation Theory.

The objective is advanced training in a broad area of Mathematics that achieves an efficient and creative professional in teaching, research and its application, training promoters of the development of teaching and scientific research, in order to contribute to the growth of the discipline.
To apply you must have possession of the degree of Graduate or equivalent in the respective discipline or related, awarded by national or foreign universities.Undergraduate final year students can also apply by attaching a certificate from their University and a Report or Concentration of Notes, it will only be accepted if they obtain a university degree.
