The Master Class program, jointly organized by the Association of European Research Libraries (LIBER) and the Hernán Santa Cruz Library of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), took place online from 18 to 20 November 2024. Provided a comprehensive introduction to Citizen Science, highlighting its potential to connect research with community engagement.
Over the course of six interactive sessions, participants explored practical strategies, methodologies and tools to develop effective institutional policies and Citizen Science initiatives. The sessions also offered insights into creating and implementing Citizen Science projects, with recommendations, good practices and inspiring examples of successful library-led projects.
The program was designed for librarians, researchers, and senior policymakers at research-oriented institutions interested in starting or advancing their Citizen Science efforts. All course material, including video recordings and session details, is available here.
Session Summary
The masterclass consisted of a series of six 90-minute webinars, held over three half-days. The sessions were taught in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
