The French Police arrested a 30-year-old man this Thursday as a suspect in the early afternoon stabbing of two girls in Souffelweyersheim, in the Alsace region, near the border with Germany.
The two victims are an 11-year-old girl, who was attacked at the exit of a primary school, and another six-year-old girl, who also received stab wounds when she was in a square located a few meters from the school center.
Both have suffered wounds and superficial cuts, although they have been transferred to the Strasbourg University Hospital, reports the newspaper 'Le Parisien'. Local authorities have celebrated that the lives of the little girls are not in danger and that they have been quickly treated by emergency teams.
The suspect of having committed the attack has been quickly arrested by the Police, who do not know that he has a criminal record and have already opened an investigation.
