This year the pre-CES season has been quite discreet, with few new features announced at the doors of what is the largest consumer electronics fair in the world, but manufacturers are beginning to show off the products that have already been awarded. One of them is LG, which will appear in Las Vegas with three new OLED monitors, the most notable of which is equipped with a flexible screen to switch between flat and curved monitors.

Silently described as “the first monitor gaming bendable 5K2K with dual mode” (a necessary motley description given the fact that there is already another flexible gaming monitor, but with a fixed resolution), the LG UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor 45GX990A is characterized by the fact that its panel can be configured as flat or folded until acquiring a curvature of 900R.

LG has only released photographs of the UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor 45GX990A.

LG has been sparing regarding the technical specifications of this monitor, but the press release indicates that it allows you to switch between 5K2K resolution (5120 x 2160) and 21:9 and 16:9 formats, simulating sizes of 27, 34 or 39 inches with the push of a button using the presets. The maximum refresh rate is unknown, but can also be pre-programmed for each aspect/resolution and size combination.

As for the second monitor, the LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor 45GX950A provides a 45-inch panel with 800R fixed curvature, 21:9 aspect ratio and 5K2K resolution. In the absence of a complete technical sheet (there are not even photos of the model), LG points out that it also has eight aspect/resolution and size configurations, as well as DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C connectors with 90W charging.

Finally, LG will also unveil at CES the new UltraGear 39GX90SA, an 800R curved monitor with a 39-inch 21:9 OLED display. The data on this third model is really scarce, although we know that it has intelligent functions based on webOS to access applications from streaming without having to start the PC, just like its older brothers.

As is tradition, LG has not disclosed the prices of its new monitors.
