Work monitors do not usually shine for their benefits —as is the case with gaming monitors—, but they can do so in other sections. It is the case of the new Lenovo ThinkCentre TiO Gen 5which invite any user to create a kind of customized All-in-One team.

In fact, the acronym TiO means Tiny-in-One (“small-in-one”), and here Lenovo proposes a construction in which we can attach one of the small ThinkStation —desktop computers— in the back to enjoy a Functional workplace in a simple way.

Bet on modularity

Lenovo created the Tiny-in-One (TIO) format some time ago as an idea to give more versatility to the All-in-One (All-in-One) concept. Here the back is prepared to attach a “Tiny PC”, a small format PC.

That gives for example the possibility to change the components when necessary, so that the monitor and the PC can be renewed separately. To further enhance that convenience, the latest generation of ThinkCentre TIO monitors has other user-focused features.

These monitors are available in two sizes: 21.5 and 23.8 inches. At the top we find an updated 1080p webcam, microphone and two user-oriented speakers.

The screen resolution is FullHD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), and on three of its sides we find particularly thin frames. This family of monitors uses natural low blue light technology to optimize eye comfort and are available with multitouch version which also supports the use of an optional stylus.

The rear compartment has a built-in 3-in-1 connector where the Tiny desktop drive can be easily snapped in and out, attaching to the monitor without the need for cables. The compartment is protected and well ventilated, in addition to having a clean and elegant design in case that rear part is facing the public or customers.

ThinkCentre TIO Gen 5 monitors also feature many of the recently announced generational design updates to Lenovo’s ThinkVision T-series line of monitors, including an ergonomic stand with increased elevation range, a new joystick button for configuring device settings, dedicated VoIP buttons on the front of the monitor for easy volume control, and a “smart traffic light” that turns red when the camera is on to notify others when the user is in a virtual meeting.
