King Felipe VI has highlighted the “enormous potential” that Spain has within the framework of a globalized economy, after having advanced “extraordinarily” in the last 45 years.

This is how the King has pronounced in the framework of the 45th anniversary of the newspaper ‘Cinco Días’, in an intervention in which he has invited to “take perspective” and know where Spain comes from to appreciate the “magnificent path” that the country has traveled in the last decades.

“Our country has advanced in an extraordinary way in these 45 years: in the development of an open and competitive economy, in the fight against inequality and in the consolidation of a full democracy,” he said.

For the monarch, in the new European dynamic, it is and will be crucial to better understand some of the keys and challenges of the economy, technology, energy or the environmental challenge, as well as the role of defense and its industry.
