The Kenyan president, William Ruto, has announced the withdrawal of his recognition of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), controlled by the Polisario Front, and has reported that the procedures “to end the presence of the entity” in Kenya.

For his part, Ruto has published a post on his Facebook profile where he acknowledges that Kenya “supports the United Nations framework as the exclusive mechanism to find a lasting solution to the dispute over Western Sahara.”
Thus, Rabat and Nairobi have promised to deepen their diplomatic relations at a strategic level in the next six months, according to a statement from the Moroccan Foreign Ministry.
The collaboration between both African nations will also include the areas of health, tourism, renewable energies, security and cultural and religious exchanges between peoples.
