Israel asks the UN and the EU to condemn the attack that has left four Israelis dead in the West Bank

June 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, has asked the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, to condemn the attack that has left at least four Israelis dead. near the West Bank settlement of Eli.

In addition, it is “working” on calling a meeting of the United Nations Security Council to condemn the attack, as the ministry itself has published on its Twitter account.

“The world cannot bear the horrific images of today’s terrorist attack. (…) It is the result of the incessant incitement and policy of the Palestinian authorities that promote terrorism and violence. Our hearts today go out to the families of those killed in the attack. We share their grief and wish a speedy and full recovery to those injured,” Cohen said.

The shootings against a restaurant and a gas station, which have left at least four Israeli citizens dead and many others injured, one of them seriously, are part of an escalation of violence in the West Bank, where the Israeli Army launched an operation on Monday in Jenin that left six Palestinians dead and close to a hundred wounded, including eight members of the Israeli forces.
