iOS 17 introduces a feature in Photos to identify clothing tag symbols

The next version of Apple’s operating system,iOS 17introduces a new functionality in the Photos app that allows users to identify the symbols of the clothing labels.

The technology company presented the capabilities of its operating system earlier this month, when it indicated that its main interest was to offer a personalized experience to users, with features such as Contact Posters or new mechanics in AirDrop.

A new function discovered by Federico Vittici and collected by MacRumors points out that iOS 17 introduces a new capability in Photos with which users will be able to identify different symbols of clothing labels.

This visual search function is called Visual Lookup and it explains each icon of these labels and allows you to expand the information on the Internet. Regarding the washing function, from this medium they point out that Apple collects the information to treat each garment in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

This is not the only notable novelty of iOS 17, since it has also introduced the Screen Distance function, which warns the user that they are using the device too close to the screen. To do this, it uses the TrueDepth camera.
