In its latest video, Intel confirms that the initial range for the West will consist of a total of four graphics cards divided into three different families. On the one hand we have the Intel Arc 3 A380, already available in China and with a performance in certain aspects comparable to that of a Radeon RX 6400. These cards have only eight Xe cores and as many units of ray tracingwith a total of 6 GB of GDDR6 memory.
In the middle part we find the most interesting Arc A580, which multiplies the number of cores by three and raises the RAM to 8 GB to do something in the upper-middle range. Here details such as the memory bandwidth begin to stand out, which with 512 GB/s exceeds the RTX 3060 Ti (448 GB/s). It will be interesting to see if this breadth is properly exploited by the rest of the hardware and its drivers.
Finally, the Arc 7 is divided into two models: the A750 and the A770. This latest model ups the ante considerably, with 32 X2 cores and ray tracing and a maximum of 16 GB of memory. Initially, everything indicates that the performance of these cards will not reach that of the most sophisticated models from Nvidia or AMD, but we would still be talking about high FPS rates with a good level of detail.
For now, all that remains is to wait for the announcement of the launch, although everything indicates that it will be almost imminent. It will be then that we know the rates and the names of the manufacturers that will be encouraged to make their own versions, although purists can always opt for standard Intel models (IBC or Intel Branded Card) similar in substance and purpose to Nvidia’s Founders Edition.
