Intel has decided to reorganize its range of GPUs for data centers, and along the way, it has made a decision that has perplexed all industry experts, because although Intel announced its new Max Datacenter GPU range in November 2022, with availability scheduled for January 2023, one of the products has already fallen into obsolescence.
Specifically, the Intel Max 1350 Datacenter GPU, a data center-oriented graphics card with a 450W air-cooled TDP, which has already been replaced by the Intel Max 1450of which it is speculated that there will be models for both air cooling and liquid cooling.
The exact reason for the rapid disappearance of this product is unknown, but it is generally believed that It has to do with a restructuring of Intel’s business model, since the Intel Max 1450 would be intended for companies in China –affected by a performance cap based on US sanctions.
Finally, it should be noted that Intel has removed all references to this card in its entire online presence, so it is possible that not a single one of these cards has been delivered to end customers.
