Instagram is testing songs in photo carousels and this is what it is all about

The two new features that you will soon be able to try on Instagram, and that are related to songs.

instagram is adding a lot of new features in recent months, for example a video editor for Reels, the ability to add up to five links in the bio or more customization options for avatars, among others.

And the CEO of Meta, mark zuckerberg, has announced that Instagram is testing a couple of new features that you will surely love.

One is the ability to share songs by sending instagram notes. As you well know, notes allow us to share updates with our Instagram friends without directly messaging them, but until now it has only been text-based.

This way, once it’s implemented, we’ll be able to attach a short song clip to a note in a similar way to stories.

Add a song to photo carousels

The other novelty is the possibility of add a song to photo carousels. At the moment it will only be available for a small set of countries, which has not been said, but they will be extended to the rest later.

With this, we can add music to an Instagram post that is a carousel of images.

So far Instagram already has a similar feature that lets you add songs to individual photos, but we think adding themes to an image carousel makes a lot more sense.

It has not yet explained in which countries these functions will be available, but it seems that they will first be tested in a small group, and then released in the rest.
