Goal has announced that Instagram has already implemented broadcast channels to all users, to give content creators the ability to reach their followers and Interact with them on specific topics.

The company introduced this feature last February, when it commented that these are based on a chat that allows one-way messages from the channel’s creator to be sent to all users who join it, a format very similar to that already offered by Telegram.

As mentioned then, with this option you can create all the channels that the creator considers and that can share both photos and videos, texts, GIFs, surveys or voice notes on them. Since it is a tool interactive communicationfollowers can react to any of these messages.

The followers of these channels, for their part, they can leave them or mute them at any time, as well as configure creator notifications, by going to their profile and clicking on the bell icon.

The company began testing this functionality with a limited group of creators in the United States and has been expanding until now, when its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has used precisely his Instagram channel to announce that It has been implemented globally.

With this expansion, new features have been introduced for broadcast channels, in which an expiration date and time can now be set. In addition, from Meta they have said that, to give visibility to this featureusers can also share a link or channel preview to their Stories.

Likewise, the social network has said that it hopes to soon incorporate a question test for followers to respond with their comments, as well as a dedicated tab for channels in the inbox. On the other hand, hopes to add the figure of a moderator to help manage messages from channel members.
