How has your municipality voted since 1977? The evolution of the vote for each party in democracy

How has your municipality voted since 1977? The evolution of the vote for each party in democracy

Did Suárez get more votes than Felipe González in your municipality? Did Unidas Podemos get more votes than IU and the Communist Party? When was the best result of the PSOE in each province? How many votes did Convergència i Unió get in its heyday? And the nationalist left?

To answer these questions, elDiario.es has compiled the official historical data of all the general elections held since 1977 in each province and municipality. The candidacies have been classified to maintain the evolution of the vote for each party despite their name changes. Only those that have obtained at least 5% of the votes in any of the 15 congressional elections held to date are included. See complete methodology

Consult in the following graph how the percentage of votes by party in each province has evolved in all the general elections held to date.

Look for your municipality in the following graph and check how the vote of your neighbors has changed in the last 40 years of democracy and find out if the vote in your municipality differs greatly from that of your province.
