Hezbollah's leader asks the Lebanese state to "firm" with the Israeli withdrawal planned for February 18

Madrid 16 Feb. (Europa Press) –

The Secretary General of the Chií Milicia Lebanese Hezbollah, Naim Qasem, has placed the Lebanese state to reject any possible delay within the period for the withdrawal of the Israeli forces of Lebanese soil agreed in the agreement of Alto El Fuego and planned for 18 February.

“On February 18 Israel must completely withdraw from the Lebanese territory. There is no excuse that can justify its permanence,” Qasem said in a speech collected by the Lebanese newspaper ‘L’Ont-le Jour’.

“The Lebanese state should not accept that the Israeli army stays in five strategic points or anywhere. The position of the Lebanese state must be firm,” he added.

The leader of the group has stressed that “we do not surrender or allow us to defeat us.” “The advantage of the commanders who have received martyrdom is that they combine the moral dimension of faith with the military dimension,” he said.

Qasem has also referred to the plan of the US president, Donald Trump, to evacuate the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip and has warned that they are “very dangerous” proposals. “He wants to end Palestine and his people. It is a process of political extermination after the failure of Benjamin Netanyahu and the United States to exterminate resistance,” he reproached.

“We condemn and reject any displacement of Palestinians in the region. The American plan is a danger to all, in particular for Arab and Muslim countries. They must reject any displacement of Palestinians and Hezbollah is willing to contribute if Arabic countries have an alternative plan No displacement of Palestinians, “he said.
