Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria confirmed in a press conference that the decision to cancel the film was supported by the creative team due to “many production and creative issues.” She revealed that there was friction “on both sides, the talent and us,” which led to a consensus that it was better to abandon the project. “Everyone felt it was the right thing to do not do it and do something else together at some point,” she explained.
