Just like real life, if a coin can be printed or spawned infinitely, you will eventually have inflation. Especially if it’s a game where gamers can complete heists to increase the size of their fortunes.
How to fix inflation in GTA 6?
Setting price limits
Despite the fact that in real life the price limit ends up being reflected in the creation of black markets, GTA is a virtual world where Rockstar Games can intervene in the market at will. One possible solution is to set limits on certain in-game goods and services. This would prevent prices from skyrocketing, keeping the game accessible to all players.
Regulation of the game economy
Just as money is introduced into the market, there must also be an escape valve. The development team could consider more robust economic regulation mechanisms. This could include the introduction of game-controlled ‘economic events’, which could dynamically adjust the economy; in other words, burning money that has been brought into the market.
Promotion of competition and fair trade
Fostering a fair and competitive in-game trading system can also be an effective solution. By getting players more involved in the in-game economy through competition and trade, a more natural economic balance can be created.
What other solutions can you think of? The new GTA Online has the task of improving everything that has already been advanced, but it will be a daunting task for the developer company. This is one of the reasons why insiders claim that GTA 6 will be the game with the most expensive development in history.
