With IoT, Grupo Bimbo managed to provide greater speed to production, something essential for them. With this implementation, it was possible to monitor production to achieve a positive impact on the operation.
Data is extremely valuable, even more so when it comes to a company that has a presence in different geographies. For this reason, Grupo Bimbo, in yet another year with Microsoft, implemented a program at its facilities in the United States, at its subsidiary Bimbo Bakeries USA, which allows it to concentrate all the information and process it.
The solution that was developed for information consolidation is known as GBConnected and is based on Microsoft Azure IoT technology. With it, the data generated feeds, in real time, different metrics that allow, among other things, to measure the efficiency of production.
Digitization has allowed Grupo Bimbo to become a data-based bakery, capable of taking advantage of all the data it generates to improve its production, distribution and sales processes, once again positioning itself at the forefront of its industry and as a benchmark for Mexican companies globally.
