Google Maps follows Waze and allows reporting of traffic incidents

Google has updated its two Maps and mobility applications to incorporate traffic incident notifications in Maps and camera alerts in Waze, which are available to users globally.

The technology firm has taken a function directly from Waze to also integrate it into Google Maps: the possibility of report incidents. In this way, communities with both applications will be able to report roadworks, lane closures or police presence on the fly.
