G.SKILL at COMPUTEX 2023
G.SKILL has taken advantage of the most important technology fair in the world, Computex 2023, which is being held these days in Taipei, Taiwan, to present the new products that will expand its catalog of PC components and cases, as well as the occasional new line of quite striking product.

Renewal of the G.SKILL Trident Z5 DDR5 and kits up to 192 GB
For many years now, G.SKILL’s Trident Z range has been widely known in the world of PC components for its extensive catalog of high-performance models. The most recent are the Trident Z5 that now receive new variants of DDR5 models and that will arrive at speeds up to 8,800 MHz.

This range, which is characterized by its large heatsinks in gold and silver colors, with RGB lighting with diffusers that simulate precious stones and angled shapes more similar to a jewel than a RAM module, now launches a new design keeping those two colors and introducing a pattern of small pyramids surrounding larger pyramids on its heatsink.
In the upper area, a large diffuser creates a pattern similar to that of crystals or precious stones that is illuminated by a set of ARGB LEDs.
The G.SKILL Trident Z5 Royal They are also renewed, going from DDR4 to DDR5 technology, with brilliant designs and an ARGB diffuser design that also simulates precious stones.

In addition to these renovations of the Trident Z5 DDR5 modules, G:SKILL has also shown its first kits of 192 GB of DDR5 memory for AMD AM5 systems with Ryzen 7000 Series processors.
These are certified kits for this platform with speeds of 6,000 MHz and CL38-48-48-96 latencies distributed in four modules of 48 GB each, that is, a kit 4 x 48GB which will allow us to have 192 GB of RAM memory using only 4 DIMM slots for DDR5.
G.SKILL MD1 Mid-Tower, Tempered Glass and Mesh Grille to Enhance Cooling
Another novelty of G.SKILL in this Computex 2023 has been the G.SKILL MD1 mid-tower, a model with an internal double-chamber design that can fit high-performance graphics cards of more than 40 centimeters, with space for liquid cooling systems with two 360mm radiators each and CPU heatsinks 17 centimeters high. It supports EATX, ATX, mATX and also Mini-ITX motherboards.
G.SKILL has used 4mm tempered glass on the side to reveal the inside of the equipment, and also in a small prism located in the upper right corner of the front. Inside this glass element you can see the lG.SKILL logo in three dimensions illuminated by RGB.
However, despite the striking design of the glass parts, the G.SKILL MD1 has a grill-type or “mesh” front to prioritize air intake. This is helped by the support for three front fans and another three in the upper part, which is also covered by this grid system. One of the most surprising launches of G.SKILL at Computex 2023 has been his curious WigiDash screen. It is a device with a 7-inch touch screen that connects via USB-C to the PC and has a configurable system of Widgets that display information of all kinds to monitor the computer itself or easily see information at a glance.
The G.SKILL WigiDash It has a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels and is divided into up to 20 square areas to place different widgets. In total we have a distribution made up of 4 rows and 5 columns, and it is possible to combine several of these zones to include larger widgets. Specifically, we have the possibility of including Widgets from 1×2 to 5×4.
For practical purposes, the operation of the distribution would be similar to that of Android on the home screen, where widgets of different types can be combined.
To configure and add widgets, G.SKILL offers the program WigiDash Manager from which you can customize the design of the different widgets available.
At the time of launch, G.SKILL has developed widgets for HwInfo, AIDA64, Spotify, Twitch chat, Weather app, Clock with stopwatch and counter, stock market widget, Spotify and audio player, video converter. moderates and also the possibility of adding shortcuts to applications and programs.
The G.SKILL WigiDash is compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11 and connects via an included USB-C to USB-A cable.
AiO Liquid Coolers with lots of brightness and RGB
G.SKILL has also shown its new all-in-one or AiO (All in One) liquid cooling systems that it is preparing. At the moment they do not have a definitive name, but there is no doubt that they have been based on the essence of the striking design of products such as Trident Z5 Royal Elite memories.
We say this because of the large number of bright areas combined with an Addressable RGB lighting system that is present on both the fans and the CPU block.
Models shown feature a triple radiator with three 120mm fans. As a curiosity, comment that in addition to the ARGB lighting that each fan has, the edges also have that shiny finish similar to hundreds of precious stones. This finish is similar to that of the refrigeration block that combines the pump and the refrigeration block.
In fact, although there is no final name for these refrigerations, we can read “G.SKILL Royal Wind” on the fan sticker, so we may see its launch within the Royal range to match the Trident Z5 Royal and Royal Elite memories.
They will be available in white or black and will have compatibility for the vast majority of current sockets, including HEDT platforms from Intel and AMD.
Overlock, Modding and the OC WORLD CUP 2023
At the G.SKILL stand, different PC setups assembled with modding and overclocking in brand components. For example, this striking pyramid-shaped rig is based on an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard alongside an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX PowerColor, a Core i9-13900K and a 48GB (2 x 24GB) G. SKILL Trident Z5 RGB.
This is a custom chassis by ElmorLabs that uses a extreme cooling system that allows lowering temperatures below 0ºC and overclocking its components. Specifically, the Core i9-13900K runs at 7,000 MHz and the G:SKILL Trident Z5 RGB goes from 8,000 MHz to an impressive 10,000 MHz in a stable manner.
At the booth we were also able to see various computer mods with striking designs, from robotic and futuristic models to a striking beer tap with a fully functional integrated PC (both the PC and the tap).
In addition, they have performed live overclocking sessions with extreme cooling by liquid nitrogen with their team of overclockers. In fact, the company has organized the live competition of the OC WORLD CUP 2023 with prizes of $40,000 that will take place these days at its Computex 2023 stand.
