Football Manager 2023 already has a release date for PS5

Sports Interactive and SEGA announced that the iconic Football Manager series will debut on PlayStation 5 on February 1 with the release of Football Manager 2023 Console on that platform.

The inaugural release of FM on PS5 was originally planned for November 8, 2022, but was delayed due to unforeseen complications that arose during the submission and approval process.

FM23 Console now it will arrive with a 20% discount for all PlayStation Plus subscribers, who will be able to redeem it until Tuesday, February 14 at 3:00 PM (GMT). The full discount is in line with the pre-order incentive that was applied prior to the original release date.

Miles Jacobson, studio director at Sports Interactive, said: “We are delighted to announce today that FM23 Console will finally be able to reach the hands of PS5 gamers. Since the initial delay, the Sports Interactive team and our colleagues at SEGA have worked tirelessly with Sony to overcome difficulties and we are proud to have a version ready to launch next week.

While it’s rare for us to release the game during a major transfer period, our priority since we postponed the initial release was to get PS5 players into their hands as soon as possible. Once all global transfer windows close, we will provide a data update for the PS5 edition, aligned with the updates on all our other platforms.”
