At least five people have died and two have been reported missing due to an explosion at a fireworks factory in the Chinese city of Liling, located in the center of the Asian giant, authorities have confirmed.

The explosion took place around 4:00 a.m. (local time) in a center that would be used illegally to manufacture these fireworks in the city, located in the province of Hunan.

According to the information collected by the Chinese news agency Xinhua, several suspected of participating in these activities have been arrested after the event, while the search and rescue tasks have been concluded in the place.
