14 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Nepalese rescue services have managed to locate five lifeless bodies after a series of landslides on Friday on a road that swept away two buses and their passengers, leaving one person dead and around 50 missing.
Police deputy Bheshraj Rijal said at a press conference on Sunday that the five deceased rescued from the waters of the Trishuli River were between 19 and 28 years old.
The first identified fatality was the driver of one of the buses, who was hit by a large stone while travelling towards the capital, Kathmandu, from the town of Butwal.
Rescue services have not yet located either bus, the police spokesman told NepalNews.
