Dec. 28 (Portaltic/EP) –

Fitbit has begun its transition to adopting Google accounts in app login exclusively and has begun phasing out the option hitherto available ‘Continue with Google’.

Users can currently access your Fitbit account through an account created exclusively on this platform –with username and password– or do it from a Google account using said button.

At the end of last September, Fitbit announced that starting next year it would eliminate the option to open accounts with Fitbit credentials and that this service could only be accessed with a Google account.

After this coexistence between both types of access, support for Fitbit accounts will end at the beginning of 2025, but these will be the default accounts to access Fitbit services in the future.

As you have seen 9to5Google Recently, the Fitbit website login has been updated with a message stating that the option to log in to Fitbit accounts is being removed.

The company has encouraged its users to know their access credentials to this service “to prepare for removal” of this support since, once the new Google login is implemented, users will be able to transfer the data from Fitbit to Google.
