Intelin addition to its Raptor Lake processors for home computers, it plans to launch a new platform to compete with the AMD Threadripper Pro, the Intel Xeon Sapphire Rapids-WS. These processors will have several references divided into 3 groups, similar to Intel for home computers. From Videocardz have filtered the complete list of these processors divided into 3 series, W9, W7 and W5. Intel returns to the fray with HEDT processors that we haven’t seen since the Cascade Lake-X in 2019.

The list of these processors includes 12 references, of which 3 are engineering samples, 2 from the W9 series, 3 from the W7 series and 4 from the W5 series. The engineering samples correspond to references with 56 cores / 112 threads, 36 cores / 72 threads and 12 cores / 24 threads for which a clock frequency is not known.

Model Cores/Threads Vel. Clock Cache TDP
Sample Eng. 56/112 105MB 350W
Sample Eng. 36/72 67.5MB 300W
Sample Eng. 12/24 30MB 200W
Xeon W9-3495X 56/112 1.9GHz 105MB 350W
Xeon W9-3475X 36/72 2.2GHz 82.5MB 300W
Xeon W7-3465X 28/56 2.5GHz 75MB 300W
Xeon W7-3455 24/48 2.5GHz 67.5MB 270W
Xeon W7-3445 20/40 2.6GHz 52.5MB 270W
Xeon W5-3435X 16/32 3.1GHz 45MB 270W
Xeon W9-3433 16/32 2.0GHz 45MB 220W
Xeon W9-3425 12/24 3.2GHz 30MB 270W
Xeon W9-3423 12/24 2.1GHz 30MB 220W

the highest series W9 It has two references. Intel Xeon W9-3495X With 56 cores / 112 threads at a clock speed of 1.9GHz, this processor has a 108MB cache and 350W TDP. The other is the Intel Xeon W9-3475X With 36 cores / 72 threads running at 2.2GHz, this processor boasts 67.5MB of cache and a TDP of 300W.

The rest are divided into configurations from 28 cores/56 threads and a TDP of 300W up to 12 cores/24 threads with a TDP of 220W. The clock frequency moves between 2 and 3 GHz approximately.

For now no other features known of these Intel Xeon Sapphire Rapids processors for HEDT, but rumors have it that they will come with support for 8-channel DDR5 and up to 112 PCI Express 5.0 lanes. Information on when they may be available is also unknown, although they may be announced together with the Intel Raptor Lake.
