The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has demanded this Sunday in Zaragoza the “focused and moderate” people, “regardless of the party they are”, and the socialists “disappointed” with the president of the Government and candidate of the PSOE for the Presidency , Pedro Sánchez, that they concentrate the vote in the PP to repeat the “success” of Andalusia that led Juanma Moreno a year ago to achieve a comfortable absolute majority.
In addition, he has addressed Vox voters because “the only ballot that guarantees change is that of the PP”, since, as he has said, it is about Sánchez’s PSOE not being able to “disturb democracy” and make it impossible ” political alternation” with a pact of losers.
“If we unite the vote for change throughout Spain in a single ballot there will be a majority. And if we concentrate the vote on the change, the change comes out ”, Feijóo proclaimed at a rally at the Zaragoza Palace of Congresses, which was attended by more than a thousand people, according to party sources. The president of the PP of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, and the number one candidate for Congress for Zaragoza, Pedro Navarro, also spoke at the event.
Feijóo has admitted that this campaign of generals reminds him of his first campaign as national president in Andalusia in June of last year when they said that “Juanma was a radical, that he was going to agree with all the worst in the world and that Andalusia would return to the setback of rights”.
Feijóo has affirmed that they are “on the path of achieving good electoral success” but they have not yet achieved “nothing” because they must go to vote. “If we don’t want everything to stay exactly the same, it’s possible. If what we want is change and we unite at the polls, then it is possible”, he stated.
Before a dedicated audience, the ‘popular’ candidate explained that they have to “convince the people before winning the elections”. “And socialist voters can see that there is currently a state party in the PP and that they are losing the category of state party to become exclusively a machine for holding power at the expense of the state. And the voters who want a change, regardless of the party they are from, have seen, first of all, that it is possible to tell Sánchez the truth to his face with education ”, he stated.
After criticizing once again that the Government says that the Spanish economy is going like a motorcycle, Feijóó has also stressed that the PP “has management capacity” and has stressed that “every time there have been problems in Spain, the Spaniards called the PP to Government”. As recalled, they did so in 1996 with José María Aznar and in 2011 with Mariano Rajoy.
In this final stretch of the campaign that is beginning, with the focus on attracting undecided voters, the leader of the PP has also addressed women and has recalled what has happened with the so-called “only yes is yes” law in this legislature.
“If we vote, there will be a competent government and it will not make laws like the law of yes is yes. And then they say they want the vote of women. Of what women? Of the women who have been attacked by people convicted of rape who are back on the streets? “Of those women of women who have been victims of sexual abuse and who have seen more than 1,100 convicted of sexual abuse have their sentences reduced by this law?”, She emphasized.
Regarding the post-electoral pacts, the president of the ‘populares’ has criticized that the PSOE can agree with “everyone” but if the PP wins “it cannot agree with anyone”, so the elections must be repeated. What’s more, he has said that “even worse is that if the PSOE loses it can agree with everyone against the PP that wins”, something that, in his opinion, “is disturbing democracy” and making “political alternation” impossible. .
“We cannot reach the conclusion that as long as the PSOE does not win, the PP cannot do anything and even if the PSOE loses, the PP cannot do anything either. That is why I call those people focused, those people moderate and those people who know what it costs to make ends meet”, he exclaimed, asking those voters to concentrate the vote around his party.
Thus, he has criticized that the socialists are “willing to govern losing.” “It is true that they do not comply with any rule, it is true that the Tinell pact, the one that Zapatero made with the Catalan separatists, Sánchez has taken to the nth degree”, he declared.
Straight away, Feijóo has affirmed that Aragon “needs to complete the change” that began in Spain in the elections of May 28 with a president like Azcón, who “understands” and “respects” this land.
