'Fallout' has been on Prime Video for less than ten days, but Amazon has already announced that it will produce a second season. The long-awaited adaptation of the Bethesda video game has become one of the platform's greatest successes.
Specifically, the post-apocalyptic drama has been among the three most viewed titles on Prime Video and, if this were not enough, it has also caused a peculiar side effect: the resurgence of several of the video games in the franchise.
A splendid series that will have a second season
The inaugural season of the series invited us to discover the world after the apocalypse. While in the inhabitants of the subatomic shelters They lived for years under the wake of optimism, order and meritocracy, on the surface the opposite reigns.
The planet's outer landscape is characterized by the vestiges of what was once a modern civilization, but which is now involved in a hellish dynamic where the inhabitants, many of them completely strangers, have their own way of surviving.
Lucy (Ella Purnell) is the main protagonist. She, the inhabitant of shelter 33, is forced to see the sunlight to reunite with his father. Maximus (Aaron Moten) is a key character in the Brotherhood of Steel. Ghoul (Walton Goggins) is introduced as a fearsome bounty hunter.
We will have to wait to find out what the second season of 'Fallout' will bring us, as we still don't know exactly when it will arrive. We do know that those responsible have done a good job of taking the world of the video game and constructing an interesting story.
There has been no attempt to replicate exactly what was seen in video games, although with great respect to these, additional material has been added. And of course, there has been no shortage of winks that win over any fan who knows the franchise from their video game console.
The series, remember, comes from Kilter Films and the executive producers are Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are executive producers, creators and co-showrunners. This team will continue in the second season.
