Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout went free-to-play this week, ushering in a new era for platforming and mini-game Battle Royale. In this new era came several changes, some for the better and others for the worse. Apparently, one of the things that didn’t go quite right was the progression, since players believe that it is easier to advance in the Battle Pass by losing than by winning.

What happens is that, as it counts GameRantdifferent users of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout have reported that the progression system is not as good as Mediatonic and Epic Games would like. The thing is, it turns out that the fastest way to level up to unlock Battle Pass rewards is by maxing out the daily and weekly challenges, or at least that’s the feeling in the community.

In case you missed it: Fall Guys is now free-to-play, how to play with friends, share progress and get rewards?

What does this mean? That the best way to get experience is to enter games, complete challenges quickly and lose on purpose to enter another game. This instead of reaching the end and trying to take the coveted crown at the end of the road.

“It is as if the medals no longer have a purpose. There are no stats, no leader boards so no record is even kept. And since they removed kudos as rewards, you don’t even earn kudos and apparently you earn about the same amount of fame no matter what medal you receive. Either it’s a bug or Mediatonic has no brain,” said a user on the Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.

Although we believe that the reason for a game should be the fun that the game gives you and not just looking to unlock rewards, the reality is that this situation can cause problems. What happens is that there will inevitably be players who only dedicate themselves to farming fame to level up in the Battle Pass. In the long run, this could impact games for players who just want to have a good time.

And you, what do you think about it? Do you think they should adjust the progression of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout? Tell us in the comments.
