Enjoy local shopping and entertainment at the Padanaram festival

The streets of Padanaram will soon be packed with people, and not just with seasonal tourists, but with people enjoying the sights and sounds of the annual Padanaram Summer Festival.

The festival will take place on Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Dozens of vendors will line Elm Street in the village of Padanaram selling all kinds of handmade goods, crafts and even hosting some activities, like cornhole.

This year’s event will also bring back the Kids Zone, where little ones can set up tables and sell handmade crafts, just like adults.

The Kids Zone will be in a new location this year, located in the Milbury parking lot on the corner of Bridge and Elm Street, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

At 10:30 a.m. there will be a performance by Motion Dance Studio.

From 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., the Toe Jam puppets will be performing at Gibson Sotheby’s Int’l Realty, located at 384 Elm Street.

At 12 noon there will be a performance by Dancer’s Edge.

Milbury will host its first annual dog show in its parking lot from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

From 2 to 4 pm there will be DJ music by Anj Kepinski at the corner of Seaward and Elm Street.
