Do banks open on October 1?
According to the calendar of the National Banking and Securities Commission, banks will not open on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as established in the Official Gazette of the Federation last December.
CNBV Calendar 2024
In accordance with official provisions, these are the institutions that must submit to the CNBV 2024 calendar of non-business days:
Credit institutions, brokerage houses, stock exchanges, institutions for the deposit of securities, securities rating institutions, central securities counterparties, exchanges for derivative contracts, clearing houses for derivative instruments and their settlement partners, investment funds , investment fund operating companies, investment fund share distribution companies, investment fund share valuation companies, regulated multiple purpose financial companies, popular financial companies, community financial companies, rural financial integration organizations, credit unions , cooperative savings and loan societies, credit information companies and financial technology institutions.
All of them must close their doors, as well as suspend operations and the provision of services to the public in the Mexican Republic, on the following days of the year 2024:
I. The 1st. of January.
II. The first Monday of February in commemoration of February 5.
III. The third Monday of March in commemoration of March 21.
IV. On March 28 and 29.
V. The 1st. of May.
VI. On September 16.
VII. The 1st of October.
VIII. On November 2 and the third Monday of that month in commemoration of November 20.
IX. On December 12 and 25.
X. Saturdays and Sundays.
Finally, general warehouses and warehouses exchange houses They will be able to open their doors, operate and provide services to the public every day of the year 2024, but subject to the provisions of the CNBV.
