A bug in the Disney + portal has caused everyone those users who use Linux to access the service cannot do soand it is that although initially it seemed that the company had decided to block access to all those users who use a computer with Linux Given the possibility of access by changing the User-Agent, it finally does not seem to be so.
As we can read in this Reddit postthe source of this problem appears to be a Regex script tasked with determining which operating system we are on, probably for tracking purposes. This script simply checks if we are on Windows, ChromeOS or macOS.
However, it is not able to check if we are in Linux -or any other operating system-, which is why users who are trying to access from Linux -or try to do it as if that system were the one used- cannot do it, because it does not have a default setting if we are not in one of the three verified systems.
Hopefully Disney fixes this issue as soon as possible, but it’s also possible that this will take a while, if it gets fixed at all. considering that they have initially forgotten about the existence of Linux and other operating systems completely.
