Discussion workshop and multilevel work table: “Structural elements, opportunities and challenges for the productive transformation of Tierra del Fuego A. and IAS”

As part of its regional development strategy, the Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), with the support of the SME Undersecretariat of the Argentine Nation and the Ministry of Production and Environment of the province of Tierra del Fuego A. and IAS , held this workshop to validate guidelines for the productive transformation of this territory, with the aim of discussing and validating, with provincial references, the results of the work carried out in this province, based on a series of interviews with public and private representatives of different productive sectors.

This activity is carried out within the framework of the project “Productive development and spatial heterogeneity in Latin America: institutions and capacity building in the programming and implementation of regional production policies”, coordinated by ECLAC, with the support and financing of the European Union.

From this workshop and validation table between territorial actors involved in the productive transformation of this province, the document presented will be modified to obtain a final version and from it to be able to strengthen the lines of work in progress to take advantage of the opportunities of this territory. and face the main challenges of productive development.
