( Spanish) — The Culiacán International Airport, Sinaloa, in northwestern Mexico, suspended operations as of 3:30 p.m. local time, due to a series of protests by local farmers.
“In order to maintain the safety of passengers and facilities, the Local Airport Security Committee has determined the closure,” the airport reported. through his official Twitter account.
Videos shared on social networks show dozens of people blocking the entrance to the airport. Several users complain and ask that these blocks be carried out in other spaces.
