British Police have confirmed this Sunday the arrest of a 22-year-old man accused of attempted murder after allegedly carrying out a drive-by shooting outside a church in central London, leaving at least six people injured, in addition to a 7 year old girl.
This has been confirmed by the Metropolitan Police in a statement collected by the BBC, detailing that the arrest occurred in the London district of Barnet, shortly before 4:00 p.m. (local time) on Sunday.
Among the victims of the shooting is a seven-year-old girl who has been taken to a central London hospital and remains in serious condition. A second girl, 12 years old, has also been injured but her injuries are minor.
The incident has also left four other victims, four women — aged 21, 41, 48, 54 — who have been taken to a central London hospital, whose injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.
Also, a 48-year-old man has injuries that could change his life, as detailed by police authorities.
British Police received a call about the attack at 1:29 p.m. (local time) this Saturday reporting a shooting on Phoenix Road, in the Camden district of London.
The officers attended with doctors from the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance.
The incident took place in the vicinity of a church where a funeral was being held. According to the first investigations, the shots were fired from a moving vehicle that moved away from the place.
