22 Feb. (Portaltic/EP) –
samsung has announced the news that integrates the latest update of its assistant, bixbywhich has been revamped to give users more control over their experience, with options like voice customization of Bixby Text Call.
According to the technological manufacturer, this series of innovations “provide significant improvements in the capacity of Bixby with improved language recognition”, which allows the assistant to offer “a smarter, more proactive and adaptable interface”, as detailed in a Press release.
One of these updates is related to Bixby Text Call, a functionality that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to answer text calls by simply typing a message. This service, available on devices Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Z Fold4 and ZFlip 4, now supports English language.
Around this functionality Samsung has created the new Bixby Custom Voicea feature that allows users to record different phrases for the assistant to analyze and generate a copy with AI, while maintaining the person’s voice and tone.
At the moment, this feature is only available in Korean and the company expects it to be compatible with other Samsung apps, other than phone calls.
Likewise, Bixby also allows you to modify the activation word or phrase, so that users can access it in a personalized way and with the term they want.
Samsung hopes to turn this assistant into an intelligent platform, and to better suit users’ needs, it has developed the ability to track context, understand it, and associate words used during previous interactions.
So you can, for example, record a physical activity previously and associate a type of music so that when the user requests play music for a workout, know that this is the right one.
Finally, Samsung has commented that users can now execute key commands offline with Bixby, such as setting a timer or turning on the flashlight, among other features.
Bixby updates will be available to Samsung Galaxy users in the coming years via a wizard software updatewhich will arrive gradually depending on the country in which it is implemented.
