Jennifer Lopez has been spending the summer relaxing in the Hamptons as she and Ben Affleck put their Los Angeles home on the market for a casual $68 million, and J.Lo just made a… wait for it…Bridgerton-Themed 55th birthday party. Complete with a horse-drawn carriage and period costumes for good measure.
According PeopleBen did not attend Saturday’s event (he also missed their anniversary earlier this month), but J.Lo was joined by her family, including her mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez, who has reportedly been encouraging her daughter to file for divorce.
A source revealed to the Daily Mail “Jennifer’s mother told her, ‘Stop losing and move on so you don’t get into this mess any further. ’ She told her that she had wasted years believing that Ben was some kind of knight in shining armor. He wasn’t the person she had imagined him to be. This has taken its toll on her and because of that, she has lost sight of who she is and what she stands for.”
Meanwhile, J.Lo “feels like Ben doesn’t deserve her, and her sisters agree. They want Jennifer to be happy, of course, but they feel like their sister is so fixated on who he was supposed to be that she doesn’t see him for who he is now. They want her to file for divorce first and move on with her life, focusing on her kids and her career.”
J.Lo and Ben have been wearing their wedding rings everywhere this month, so… we hope they get that sorted!
