At least two injured by a fire in a skyscraper in Hong Kong

March 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least two people have been injured after a violent fire broke out in a skyscraper under construction located in the Kowloon neighborhood, one of Hong Kong’s main commercial districts.

The fire started after dawn (local time) in one of the scaffolding placed in the building, an old club for sailors that was demolished in 2018 and whose works are carried out by the Empire Group company, as reported by ‘South China Morning Post ‘.

The flames, which have injured two people who have had to be taken to a nearby hospital for smoke poisoning, threaten to spread to the five-star Sheraton hotel and a nearby office block.

Other buildings in a nearby street have also been affected by the flames, although the fire brigades have managed to contain its spread.
