Kirilenko has also specified that this Monday Russian troops have caused damage to a school in the region. Since the start of the Russian invasion last February, Russian troops have damaged a total of 594 educational institutions in the Donetsk region, including 263 schools, according to UNIAN.

On the other hand, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office has reported that a nine-year-old boy has been injured as a result of cluster bomb shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region, while another shelling in the town of Bashtanka , in Mikolaiv, has injured a one and a half year old boy.


“More than 1,096 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of August 22, 2022, the official number of child victims per day has not changed: 373. The number of wounded has increased: more than 723,” says the Attorney General’s Office.
