MADRID Jan. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least three Cameroonian soldiers died this Monday in an attack attributed to the terrorist organization Boko Haram in the Ngouma military camp, in the north of the country, local media, including Journal du Cameroun, reported.
The jihadist fighters attacked the Ngouma military camp, located in the department of Logone and Chari, in the Far North region, and set fire to a Cameroonian Army vehicle, before seizing weapons and other military equipment.
The Cameroonian Armed Forces have undertaken tracking operations around the camp to reach the attackers, the ActuCameroun news portal also reports.
The Far North Region is one of the most affected by insecurity in the country, given that Boko Haram and its splinter group, the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWA), operate there, especially in areas located in the Lake Chad basin.
