At least one person has died and seven have been injured in the early hours of Tuesday after a clash between Palestinians and soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the city of Jenin, in the West Bank.
Armed clashes have broken out when Israeli forces have entered the city to demolish the house of the alleged perpetrator of an attack in Tel Aviv last April in which three people died and 11 others were injured, after allegedly shooting at bars and businesses on a street in the city center, reported ‘The Jerusalem Post’.
A large number of IDF soldiers and vehicles entered Jenin overnight — an estimated 100 military vehicles accompanied by a bulldozer — forcing residents of the city’s eastern quarter to leave. their apartments, according to the Palestinian agency Maan News.
Following this, there have been clashes between Palestinians and IDF in various parts of the city, as a result of which seven civilians have been injured, one of them seriously, and among whom is a girl who has been hit in the mandible, besides two young.
According to reports collected by ‘The Times of Israel’, the Israeli troops intended to carry out a demolition order issued by the Army in May, in the apartment of the person allegedly responsible for the April attacks in Tel Aviv.
