AMD has launched its new drivers AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 24.9.1 with support for new technology AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2, or AFMF 2.
This technology is responsible for generating intermediate frames between rendered frames thanks to the optimization of Artificial Intelligence in its algorithm. The idea of this technology is to achieve greater FPS performance with the least possible quality loss and without significantly increasing latency.
It is compatible with both OpenGL and Vulkan, in addition to DirectX, and supports other AMD technologies such as Radeon Chill to reduce consumption and latency by limiting FPS to desired values.
AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 can be used with graphics AMD Radeon RX 6000 and RX 7000, or APus with RDNA 3 Graphics, and is even integrated into AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors and their integrated GPUs with RDNA 3.5 architecture.
AMD AFMF2 is also integrated into the HYPR-Tune system along with technologies such as FSR or Anti-Lag 2, to automatically optimize games such as Black Myth: Wukong, Creatures of Ava, Frostpunk 2 and God of War Ragnarök.
The drivers AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 24.9.1 with AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 are now available on the AMD website for downloadr.
