Artificial Intelligence is one of the axes that underpins the new range of laptops that MSI has launched at this IFA 2024 in Berlin. Announced within the AI + series, we were already able to see the models with the Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” processors, and now we review the models equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors and accompanied in some cases by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 series graphics cards. All of them are part of the so-called Copilot+ PC.
The MSI Creator A16 AI+ They have in their catalogue several models equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 under its 16-inch screen in 16:10 format. There are models with a 4K MiniLED panel at 120 Hz, others with a 2,560 x 1,600 OLED screen at 240 Hz and others with IPS-Level and conventional backlighting with the same 240 Hz.
The Ryzen AI is accompanied by a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop, plus up to two PCIe Gen4 x4 SSDs in M.2 format. They also have USB 4 and USB 3.1 connectivity, HDMI 2.4 and 2.5 GbE Ethernet along with a 99.99 Whr battery.
He MSI Stealth A16 AI+ also offers the AMD Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 with up to 32GB of RAM and the same display options as thel Creator A16 AI+. The rest of the features are identical, as the Creator is aimed at content creators and the Stealth has a gaming aesthetic, but they share much of the same hardware. Therefore, both models share a thickness of 19.95 mm and a weight of 2.1 Kg along with a 240 W adapter.
In addition to these two laptops, MSI has also announced its MSI Summit AI+ with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 under a 16″ 2,560 x 1,600 pixel 165 Hz display. This time, instead of using dedicated graphics, it relies on its integrated AMD Radeon 880M.
The same thing happens in the MSI Prestige A16 AI+with the same AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 with the Radeon 880M. In this case, in addition to the Summit screen, there is also a 4K OLED panel option at 60 Hz. Both models have USB-C type USB4 connectivity at 40 Gbps, Wifi 7, HDMI and a thickness of 17.35 mm.
