Just yesterday we were talking about a problem that could occur with some AMD AM5 motherboards with the new 24 and 48 GB RAM memory modules and that prevented the operating system from starting if we had modules of this capacity installed, even if they were detected by the computer into BIOS correctly.
Now it has been leaked that AMD is already working on the solution and that it will come in the form of a new version of the AGESA firmware for the BIOS, specifically version 1.0.0.7. According to these leaksthis BIOS will hit the market during the month of April and will provide the aforementioned compatibility for the 24 and 48 GB modules and allow the Boot of the operating system with these modules that have recently hit the market.
With this version, compatible AM5 boards will be able to reach up to 192 GB of DDR5 memory as is already the case in Intel's 600 and 700 chipsets from manufacturers such as MSI, Gigabyte or ASUS, for example.
It is to be expected that manufacturers will release their own BIOSes as soon as the AGESA 1.0.0.7 firmware patch is available and tested on their various motherboard models.
