It hasn’t been long since AMD launched its technology frame generation for games, the so-called AMD Fluid Motion FramesIt was officially launched on January 24 of this year and just 6 months later AMD has already presented its version 2.0 of this technology. AFMF 2.0 is available for testing via an AMD Software Preview: Adrenalin Edition, offering performance improvements, increased optimization, and lower latency.
This new version 2.0 of AFMF includes optimization in which the Artificial intelligence. This achieves improvements thanks to a updated algorithm and will offer greater fluidity. Two new modes have also been added to AMD FMF 2.0 that will automatically activate at their optimal settings and which advanced users can tweak to suit them. A new mode has also been added performance mode which reduces the load on AMD FMF 2.0 ideal in games that need to reach a higher FPS ratesuch as shooters. This mode will be set as predetermined in the integrated graphics of AMD Ryzen processors.
Another new feature that comes to this preliminary version of AFMF 2.0 is the generation of frames with lower latency. A lower latency that will be available with this new version regardless of the mode used, the hardware you have or the configuration chosen. It has also been added support for borderless full screen mode when using AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series or Radeon 700M Series graphics cards. Support has been added for games that use Vulkan and OpenGL and interoperability with AMD Radeon Chill has been enabled.
