Amazon lists and dates Dead Island 2 and New Tales from the Borderlands

The store has listed, provided details and set a release date for Dead Island 2, a game that has been missing for years, and New Tales from the Borderlands, a title announced but not yet formally unveiled by Gearbox Software and 2K.

The first time Dead Island 2 was shown was at Gamescom in 2014 and now everything points to the game reappearing eight years later on the same stage. The title, which during this time has passed through the hands of Yager Interactive and Sumo Digital before reaching Dambuster Studio in 2019, will be available according to Amazon on February 3, 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PCs. The description on the card tells us that the action of the title will take place in Los Angeles, California, a city where a virus has spread that transforms its inhabitants into zombies.

The protagonist of Dead Island 2 is a character infected but immune to the virus who decides to take advantage of the zombie inside him to save Los Angeles. As the campaign progresses, players will discover “who or what you are”, while the hero will survive and evolve. Dead Island 2 will offer a total of six playable characters, all immune to the pathogen, each with their own personality and a set of abilities that can be customized. Regarding zombies, there is a catalog of twelve different types.

New Tales from the Borderlands, another candidate to be presented and shown during Opening Night Live 2022, will go on sale on October 21 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC. According to the description offered by Amazon, the adventure proposed by New Tales from the Borderlands is divided into five parts and its protagonists are the scientist Anu, her brother Octavio and Fran, three characters who are described as losers on the worst day of their lives. .

As with the previous installment, Tales from the Borderlands, the decisions players make throughout the campaign will determine how the story progresses. Each character has a different personality and worldview. During their journey, the three protagonists will fight “against exploitation and corporate greed” in an attempt to change the world (and even save it), a process during which they will meet other characters who are fighting to move forward.
