20 Apr. (Portaltic/EP) –
Acer has presented this Thursday its new high-performance gaming laptops Predator Triton 17 X and Predator Helios Neo 16, equipment designed for gamers and content creators, which mount 13th generation Intel Core processors and GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU.
The company has exhibited these and other laptop models in a presentation that also included the new TravelMate models, Acer Chromebook Spin 714 and an Acerpure ecological air purifier.
Regarding its gaming laptops, Acer has announced that the predator Triton 17 X (PTX17-71) offers “high performance” features thanks to its 13th generation Intel Core i9 processors and advanced cooling systems, wrapped in a ‘unibody’ design. ‘ made of solid metal using a CNC milling process.
The device, which features a 17-inch screen, offers a 24-hour battery life, is less than 25.4 mm thick (that is, one inch) and a hybrid architecture for greater performance, which has up to 24 cores at a maximum frequency of 5.4 GHz.
Acer proposes two configurations for this model, including WQXGA mini-LED (AmLED) with a refresh rate of 250 Hz, a maximum brightness of more than 1,000 nits to meet DisplayHDR requirements, and a high contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. .
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU for laptops is built on the ultra-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture and includes DLSS 3 powered by artificial intelligence (AI), enabling realistic virtual worlds with Ray Tracing.
Its suite of Max-Q technologies optimizes system performance, power, battery life and acoustics for maximum efficiency in use. For those looking for superior performance, it allows configuration with up to 64GB of DDR5 5600Hz memory and up to 4TB of PCIe RAID 0 SSD storage.
As for its cooling system, the company has explained that it has Acer’s Vortex Flow technology, which stands out for a three-fan cooling system, which includes two 5th generation AeroBlade 3D fans.
Thanks to its custom design, it achieves a 10 percent increase in airflow compared to the previous generation of AeroBlade 3D fans. The laptop also uses a heatsink with heat pipes inserted into the processors and air inlet and outlet grills.
PREDATOR HELIOS NEO 16
The new Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-71), meanwhile, also packs 13th-generation Intel Core HX processors, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU for laptops, with a maximum graphics power (MGP) of 140W.
This lineup offers several different panel options, including a WQXGA (2560×1600) IPS display at 165Hz and 3ms response time and a WUXGA (1920×1200) display, with a 165Hz refresh rate that covers 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut.
Both display options include NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC technology, which ensure smoother images during fast-paced gameplay.
To dissipate heat, they are equipped with AeroBlade fan technology, which is all-metal and custom designed. However, the CPU includes liquid metal thermal, so that it reaches its full potential.
PREDATOR TRITON 14 AND PREDATOR HELIOS 3D 15
Acer Predator Triton 14 also includes up to Intel Core processor, this time 13th generation i7-13700H, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce RTXTM 4070 or 4050 GPU for laptops.
Its 14-inch panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio promises a 250 Hz refresh rate and boasts DisplayHDR 600 certification, covering 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
This model supports up to 32GB of 6000MHz LPDDR5 RAM and an M.2 SSD slot. In addition, it has several ports, including a MicroSD card reader to download photos and videos. With this, it presents 3D AeroBlade technology, with Vortex Flow airflow optimization.
Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition, for its part, is presented as the model of this family “now more powerful than ever”, according to Acer, which has explained that it is manufactured with 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900HX and the NVIDIA GeForce GPU. RTXTM 4080 for laptops.
This equipment is supported by Intel Killer E2600 Ethernet Controller, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i and Acer’s next-generation cooling technology. At the port level, two USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (one of them compatible with offline charging), two Thunderbolt 4 that support DisplayPort functionality and Power Delivery[i]and a micro SD card reader.
ACER PREDATOR ORION X
Acer has also given prominence to its desktop computers with the Predator Orion X, equipped with the 13th generation Intel i9-13900KS processor with 24 cores, 32 threads and a TDP of 150W, with the latest hybrid architecture, which reaches a speed of 6GHz .
This desktop takes advantage of NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture and houses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU with liquid cooling and 24 GB of G6X memory inside. On the other hand, it incorporates a custom-designed liquid cooling module, which helps the fans to fulfill their function of dissipating heat.
Its chassis weighs 9 kg and presents a modified design with three areas that can be customized at all levels. The former is designed for greater accessibility to the CPU, PWS and SSD memory, while Zone 2 brings the VGA and the two 2.5-inch SATA HDD slots within a user-friendly distance.
Finally, Zone 3 houses a 240mm liquid CPU cooler inside, strategically placed near Zone 1. All of these areas are covered with metal side panels that can be easily removed.
Predator Orion X has 32 GB DDR5-5600 RAM installed, two M.2 SSD memories (up to 1 TB each) and a ‘slot’ for M.2 NVMe SSD drives illuminated and interchangeable without having to turn off the computer, to increase the storage capacity of the device.
Acer wanted to highlight that the Predator Orion X has the PredatorSense 4.0 application, which allows gamers to control the system to perform ‘overclocking’ and customize RGB lighting preferences.
CURVED MONITORS
Nitro XZ452CU V is a monitor equipped with a 44.5-inch screen and a 1500R curvature. It has an ultra-wide 32:9 (5120×1440) aspect ratio and fast 165Hz refresh rates.
