A chemical plant in northeast China was shaken this Sunday by a huge explosion for causes under investigation with no record of victims so far, as confirmed by the country’s official media.
The explosion occurred at a plant operated by the privately owned Panjin Haoye Chemical Co. in Lianoning province, China Central Television reported in a Bloomberg story.
The local government of Panjin county has begun rescue work and to investigate the cause of what happened, according to Chinese television.
The explosion occurred around 1:30 p.m. local time (08:30 a.m. in mainland Spain).
